Long Arm Rental Services
Long Arm Machine rental is available by appointment. Renters must be certified by
Sew Inspired Quilt Shop & Studio prior to using the machine. Certification classes
are available by private appointment and on a regularly scheduled basis. To enroll in
a certification class, please call the shop.

Policies & Procedures
  • Once you have completed a class, you may rent the Gammill/Statler
    (computerized quilting only) for $20/hour. Your first Gammill/Statler rental will
    include a consultation with Sandy as an extension of your certification class.
    "Coaching" is available during your rentals, but should you require extended
    instruction, there will be a $35/hour charge.

  • Rental is available by appointment in ½ hour increments and includes quilt
    loading time. If you are unable to make your appointment please contact the
    shop as soon as possible before the appointed time. If you are not present
    within 1 hour of your appointed time we will assume the appointment is
    cancelled and we may reassign the time for other clients or for shop use.

  • The Gammill certification classes are designed to equip the user to load a
    quilt and operate the machine using the Statler Stitcher for Edge to Edge
    quilting.

  • Rental users are expected to use the machine responsibly, paying special
    attention to safe operation of the machine and associated tools. Unsafe use
    or use which may be harmful to the system will result in immediate
    cancellation of rental privileges. Only users certified by Sew Inspired Quilt
    Shop & Studio may operate the system.

  • Rental users are expected to inform the staff of any issues with the machine
    or tools as soon as possible. A Long arm coordinator will be available to help
    address any operating issues with the machine or tools. Rental users may
    adjust the top and bobbin tension and change needles on the machine. No
    other adjustment by rental users is permitted.

  • Machine rental is offered for the convenience of our customers in completing
    their personal quilting projects. The machine may not be used to provide
    professional, for fee services. Violation of this policy will result in immediate
    cancellation of rental privileges.

  • Rental users are expected to purchase supplies, including threads and
    batting from Sew Inspired Quilt Shop & Studio. Exceptions should be
    discussed with long arm coordinator. Over 150 colors of thread in multiple
    weights are available on a per quilt (top thread) or per bobbin basis.
