Totes & Techniques
The February session of our Totes & Techniques will feature the Diamond
Island Tote. This bag is appropriate for the advanced beginner. The class
requires two sessions so we'll extend the Totes & Techniques Sunday to
March 7th as well.

English Pathways Progressive Patchwork - Advanced Beginner (Deb)
Join us for this six-session, progressive patchwork party! Each session
you'll receive detailed instruction and hands-on help to complete a section
of the quilt.

EQ6 For Beginners (Sandy)
EQ6 is the gold standard for computerized quilt design for home users.
This two part course begins with the basics and takes participants through
the process of using Electric Quilt version 6 (EQ6) to design or layout
quilts. In part I participants are introduced to the easy to use interface the
building blocks of quilt layout. Sandy will show you how to choose from the
over 4,000 block patterns, over 5,000 fabrics, and unlimited layout options
to help you preview your own unique designs. She'll also show you how to
use EQ6 to resize your favorite blocks and quilts and print easy to use
Rotary Cutting or Paper Piecing designs. Homework includes laying out 3
different simple quilts.

In Part II, Sandy begins with review and feedback on your homework
projects. Part II then moves into how to load EQ6 with images of your own
fabric stash and expanding your quilt, border, and sashing layout options.
An introduction to EQ6 advanced features including custom design of
blocks and appliqué motifs is also covered.

Laptop and EQ6 recommended – alternatively you may rent studio PC time
to complete your homework assignment. Participants are offered 10% off
the retail price of EQ6 when purchased for this class.

Spend an afternoon sewing in the company of other quilters! This quilt is

Fusible Machine Applique - Advanced Beginner/Int (Viv)
Learn to applique the Big Fork Bay Cotton Company way. These wonderful
batik kits are not for the faint at heart, but the results are spectacular!
Choose one of the kits we have in stock (or ask to special order by March
1st) and learn to fuse and layer by number to complete the top! Pre-class
work is a must.

Rotary Cutting 102 – Adv. Beginner (Heidi)
Achieve perfect accuracy with your rotary cutter! Learn to cut geometric
shapes, from simple to complex, plus magic cutting numbers for shapes
and seam allowances. This class will help you hone your own cutting
skills to a razor-sharp edge.

Learn to paper piece while making a small butterfly wall hanging.  Make
several for a larger wall hanging with the skills you learn in class.

Hand Quilting – (Lucille)
Learn how to make those tiny, even stitches that you admire at quilt
shows.  You will mark your fabric with a pattern and hand quilt using the
rocking method.

Learn to Quilt - Beginner (Lois)
This special beginner class, developed by a seasoned quilt-shop owner,
is designed so you
complete a quilt! In eight easy two-hour classes, you
will successfully finish your first quilt. This small quilt features two easy
blocks that create a new, secondary pattern when combined. Two simple
blocks add up to a lap or baby quilt that can be finished during class.

Learn to finish your quilt with a professional, double fold binding the "Udderly Simple" way with
Diane. She'll show you how to make binding strips, join and sew them, miter your corners and how
to finish with a hand, blind stitch.
Tuesday, May 18, 6-8PM

Color Mastery (Heidi) All Levels.
Develop your personal color style by learning the 3 elements of color, the
relationships of color on the color wheel and how they affect your fabric
choices and resulting quilts. The first principle of the ten outlined in Color
Mastery is to create your own color journal.  In the first class, Heidi will
show you what kind of journal works best, how to get started, and lead you
through fun, innovative exercises to help you discover or refine your own
color style.
