use for piecing! Open to all ability levels, beginners especially welcome.
We will cover straight line and free motion quilting techniques, decorative
stitch quilting and one very quick surprise method; lots of in-class practice.
Helpful technical information on set-up, preparation, and supplies as well
as a chance to discuss the creative choices you need to make – quilting
design, density, and thread selection.

Introduction to Garment Sewing—Beginner (Karlie)
Learn the basics of garment construction including taking a measurement
and reading a garment pattern. Then, choose from a simple skirt, apron or
pajama bottom and come sew during open studio sessions for hands on
guidance and technique instruction. Students will build a portfolio of
garment construction techniques while they complete their project.

Develop your personal color style by learning the 3 elements of color, the
relationships of color on the color wheel and how they affect your fabric
choices and resulting quilts. The first principle of the ten outlined in Color
Mastery is to create your own color journal.  In the first class, Heidi will
show you what kind of journal works best, how to get started, and lead you
through fun, innovative exercises to help you discover or refine your own
color style.
