Class Info & Policies

A 15% discount will be given for all
supplies purchased for your class.

We hate to cancel a class, but reserve the right to do so, should the minimum enrollment not be met (usually 3 students). If this happens, a full refund will be given.

If you're not able to make a class that you've registered for, you must notify us one week prior to the class at which time a store credit will be issued. If we have less than 1 week notice, a credit will be given only if the slot can be filled from the waiting list.

Skill Levels:

Beginner – No quilting experience required. Suitable for the first time quilters or those who desire a review of basic quilting skills.

Advanced Beginner – Student has some experience with rotary cutting and general sewing skills. Pre-class work such as cutting may be required.

Intermediate – Student is comfortable with rotary cutting skills and achieving a ¼" seam allowance.

Advanced – Student has experience in rotary cutting, machine piecing, appliqué, machine quilting, and more difficult piecing techniques.
When you take a class at Sew Inspired, we'll give you the basic concepts and all the technique instructions for the project. In many cases, you will not be able to finish the entire project during the class time(s). You will however, have plenty of time to learn how to make the block, or use the techniques taught, to confidently finish your project at home.

Garment Making

Special Guest Instructor! Making clothing for yourself can be fun and extremely rewarding. Choose from three of the most popular Sew To Grow sewing patterns and Lindsey will walk you through step-by-step how to trace, cut, assemble and add the finishing touches to these wardrobe staples.

Learn to Quilt

Make your first quilt! You'll learn fabric selection, rotary cutting, piecing, machine quilting and binding. Eight sessions beginning May 10.

Build on skills learned in the Beginning Quilting class! Although this class is designed to build on the techniques taught in the beginning class, it's suitable for anyone comfortable with a rotary cutter and a 1/4" seam. The techniques introduced in this class are designed to be more challenging.

Machine Quilting

After you've mastered dropping block designs and quilting edge to edge with the HQ Pro-Stitcher, you're ready to expand and strengthen your skills. This class focuses on in-depth aspects of specific functions of the HQ Pro-Stitcher. Learn how to create continuous border and corner designs; easily digitize your own designs using the features under the Record menu and quilt on-point designs and areas larger than the throat-space of your machine.

Learn how to use this powerful digitizing software! Bring your laptop and follow along as you learn to digitize designs that can be stitched on your Pro-Stitcher. You'll learn to use the powerful automatic features of the software, as well as creating original designs by tracing or using a design concept of your own.

NOTE: CLASS FULL. Bring your domestic sewing machine and create a simple stitch sampler while learning the basics of machine quilting. Our special guest machine quilting educator will walk step-by-step through the process from setting up a machine for best success, to stitching out designs. You'll learn how to use different threads and marking tools to achieve the look of beautiful quilting.

Quilt Projects

Based on a block found in a bag of textiles at the Brimfield, MA flea market! Block designers Kim and Nisha will show you how to use their unique acrylic templates for fussy cutting and how to assemble the Brimfield Block rings by English Paper Piecing. They'll go over how to center them onto the background fabric and stitch it together with applique. These highly addictive blocks sew up very quickly, and offer tons of design options.

Skill Builders

Are you stuck in a color rut? Or are you afraid you might make a "color mistake" in your quilts? Join award winning quilter Timna Tarr for this workshop and try out new color combinations as well as learn how to use color placement as a major design element in your quilts.
