Class Info & Policies

A 15% discount will be given for all
supplies purchased for your class.

We hate to cancel a class, but reserve the right to do so, should the minimum enrollment not be met (usually 3 students). If this happens, a full refund will be given.

If you're not able to make a class that you've registered for, you must notify us one week prior to the class at which time a store credit will be issued. If we have less than 1 week notice, a credit will be given only if the slot can be filled from the waiting list.

Skill Levels:

Beginner – No quilting experience required. Suitable for the first time quilters or those who desire a review of basic quilting skills.

Advanced Beginner – Student has some experience with rotary cutting and general sewing skills. Pre-class work such as cutting may be required.

Intermediate – Student is comfortable with rotary cutting skills and achieving a ¼" seam allowance.

Advanced – Student has experience in rotary cutting, machine piecing, appliqué, machine quilting, and more difficult piecing techniques.
When you take a class at Sew Inspired, we'll give you the basic concepts and all the technique instructions for the project. In many cases, you will not be able to finish the entire project during the class time(s). You will however, have plenty of time to learn how to make the block, or use the techniques taught, to confidently finish your project at home.


Learn to Quilt

Machine Quilting

(HQ Educator Event) Blocks, backgrounds, sashings and borders - these are the basic components of every pieced quilt top, and there are tricks to quilting them differently while creating a cohesive overall look. Learn how to select and adapt designs to complement each area, and how to accomplish the quilting efficiently and easily. Tried-and-true fillers and go-to designs will be featured.

(HQ Educator Event) This class on circle templates and curved rulers presents a new world of design options. Learn how to read and use the markings on the templates, and the tricks for making half circles, flattened circles, and perfectly curved lines. Create beautiful quilting designs using swags, clam shells, ovals, arcs and half circles.

(HQ Educator Event) Every quilter runs into common problems such as how to deal with fullness, how to create a square quilt, and how to handle crooked seams. Now you can learn the same tips and tricks professionals use to solve these problems in order to finish quilts that look spectacular. Shortcuts, specialty tools, organizational tricks you're sure to have some aha moments in this class.

(HQ Educator Event) This class is an extension of the basics for the HQ Pro-Stitcher. Focused on additional functions of the HQ Pro-Stitcher and problem-solving typical situations you may encounter. Tips and shortcuts for using the many features and functions of the HQ Pro-Stitcher program will be included.

Totes & Techniques

New to bag making? The Improv Bag is a great project for you! The outside of the bag is made using the quilt as you go technique and the bag construction is simple. You'll also learn how to finish the bag with a bias binding. And, you get to use some of those scraps you have been collecting. No scraps? Fat quarters will also work. Come join us for this fun project!
