Class Info & Policies

A 15% discount will be given for all
supplies purchased for your class.

We hate to cancel a class, but reserve the right to do so, should the minimum enrollment not be met (usually 3 students). If this happens, a full refund will be given.

If you're not able to make a class that you've registered for, you must notify us one week prior to the class at which time a store credit will be issued. If we have less than 1 week notice, a credit will be given only if the slot can be filled from the waiting list.

Skill Levels:

Beginner – No quilting experience required. Suitable for the first time quilters or those who desire a review of basic quilting skills.

Advanced Beginner – Student has some experience with rotary cutting and general sewing skills. Pre-class work such as cutting may be required.

Intermediate – Student is comfortable with rotary cutting skills and achieving a ¼" seam allowance.

Advanced – Student has experience in rotary cutting, machine piecing, appliqué, machine quilting, and more difficult piecing techniques.
When you take a class at Sew Inspired, we'll give you the basic concepts and all the technique instructions for the project. In many cases, you will not be able to finish the entire project during the class time(s). You will however, have plenty of time to learn how to make the block, or use the techniques taught, to confidently finish your project at home.

Learn to Quilt

Make your first quilt! You'll learn fabric selection, rotary cutting, piecing, machine quilting and binding. Eight sessions beginning August 31. Now enrolling!

Make-It-Take-It

These little bags are so much fun! You'll want to make a bunch. Wear as a wristlet or use inside your larger tote to keep smaller items organized. A one-evening make-it-take-it project.

Quilt Projects

This pattern features one of Judy Niemeyer's most tried and true curved piecing techniques. Similar to a drunkard's path block, this technique teaches you how easy it is to handle pieced units on a curve. Your use of color, pattern and value lends to the creation of a traditional compass to a contemporary art piece. Either way, the construction of this table runner is remarkably easy!

Totes & Techniques

Make this classy tote for all your day trip needs. Learn how easy it is to sew with cork fabric (no finishing required), make and attach piping to the sides of your bag for added interest. You should have sewing and some bag making skills for this class.

Make this beautiful tote bag for yourself or a gift for someone special. We'll turn a quilt into a bag using a variety of strips and a fusible foundation. You'll learn to use the Stripology Ruler to make your strip cutting fast and easy! You'll learn to put grommets in to attach your single or double handles. You should have sewing, quilting and bag making skills for this class.

Wearables

With a modern, slim fit ideal for layering, the Lark Tee is your new best friend. Techniques involved include sewing with knits, straight seams, and attaching binding.

A great beginner garment class! A woven t-shirt with capped sleeves and scoop neck. Fitted at the shoulders, this top falls into a loose shape below the bust. Techniques involved include straight seams, bias binding, setting sleeves and basic hemming.

Learn to make this great dress! You can't make just one, you'll be hooked after this class and want to make all the different options. You'll trace your pattern using Pattern Ease to preserve all the sizes included (so you can make some for gifts too). You'll also learn how to shirr the back of your dress using elastic thread. You should be familiar with your sewing machine and have made several sewing projects.
